a small idea that has become bigger than ever expected

The weddings department was something that had potential. The Club and Yacht Club at Porto Cima have unique designs and unparralelled wait and banquet staff services, so why was it that no one wanted to get married here? Answer, No one knew we were here. One the its greatest assets became a flaw. Located just over the bridge in Sunrise Beach, Mo. The Club,Yacht Club as well as the surrounding Porto Cima properties are isolated to give people an exclusive and private experience away from the hustle and bustle of Osage Beach. After realizing that even locals didnt know we were here, we stepped into the spot light. We let people know we were here by placing links to our website on a number of wedding websites, going to bridal shows, and talking about weddings here as well as the amount of work we put into each one. It has paid off in such a big way, now we have 8 weddings this year and each one is so very different than the others. We then talked about giving the exclusivity of the club to the brides getting married here and how we could do that. The result, Only 10 weddings a year maximum will be hosted at Porto Cima as well as when a wedding is booked, we book out the entire building to ensure the experience we would like every new couple to have.

I would like to thank all of those people who really gave Porto Cima their assistance in spreading the word, the brides who have booked with us this year and next, and the businesses and websites that have allowed us to really shine. A special thanks to the Lake of the Ozarks Wedding Association.

Can't Believe How Fast...

I cannot believe how fast everything is taking off! I had four wedding requests in one weekend and in 4 days did three tours. The Club will be participating in the 2011 Lake of the Ozarks Bridal Stroll in November as well. I look forward to a lot more requests coming in.

Busy, Busy, Busy...

I've been booking a lot of private parties for the rest of the fall and a lot of rehersal dinners. I have had a lot of wedding inquiries about next year and it seems like it is only getting busier... We're ready.

Working hard...

Been working hard to really get the message out about the Club and our wedding services. It seems like it has taken forever to just get as far as we have but I think it will eventually pay off. We are now listed on mywedding.com, weddingwire, and weddopt.com to name a few. We are getting ready to add new photographs and information to our website http://www.portocima.com/.
